Rough-Ins

I was told by the SS last Tuesday that the roof should have been finished last week and that the Roughing-In would start. Being a male, I simply said "Yep, sounds good!" Once I got off the phone I decided to Google 'Roughing Ín' only to discover that the wires and piping were going to be put into our house.

Well - Cyclone Marcia brought enough rain to prevent the roof being finished, which led to a fair bit of water on the slab, however much to our surprise on the weekend, we noticed all of the wiring going in and all of the windows in. I guess now that the roof is on more work can get done!

Below are some photos from the weekend.

Our lovely Pivot Door
Just inside the front door - 'My' Home Theatre
 The massive family room window
 The bi-fold Kitchen Servery
 The main bathroom
Chloe's Trial Run of the Bath
 Chloe's Bedroom Window
 The guest bedroom window
The spot for the light switch - apparently only I am excited by these bits!
 The Awesome French Doors
I guess we're waiting for the free-standing bath before this one goes in!

TODAY'S UPDATE - THE ROOF IS FINISHED!! Looks good too!

    1. Hi Donna, glad to hear you are liking the blog. I certainly found other blogs for this home a great source of information, especially seeing you cannot really look through one as a display anywhere.

As far as the Metricon and the construction to date goes, we've had no issues at all. Just about all the problems have laid with us and our finance, however once that was approved, Metricon have been brilliant! We have had a change of Site Supervisor, but that was due to reshuffling of boundaries across Brisbane. Both SS's have been great for us so far.

There have been minor variances from the contract/drawings, however a quick phone call is all it has taken to have anything rectified.

      Where are you building?
